**Author Peek** Interview with
MICHEL PRINCE!

INTRODUCING…Michel.

Before we get started talking about your writing, tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from, what you do for a living (if you’re not a fulltime writer) what hobbies you have, etc. Whatever you’d like to share to introduce yourself.

I currently live in a suburb of St. Paul, MN. I work for a health care company working in the business office. As for hobbies I do enjoy cross stitching when I can find time, but most of my time is spent in a crowd either cheering for my son in basketball and football or my beloved Vikings.

1. What genre(s) do you write in and why?

Romance. So far I’ve written in contemporary, paranormal, Sci-fi and suspense. In addition I like to go into subgenres such as interracial, cowboy, second chance romance, sports and new adult. Between challenges people put to me mixed with my own natural love of all genres I can’t sit still.

2. What’s your favorite beverage?

I’m not sure if it’s a favorite or if the twenty-third ingredient in Dr. Pepper is crack, but there is usually at least one bottle around me at most times.

3. If you had to listen to one song over and over again for a whole day, what would it be?

Honey I’m Good, by Andy Grammar. It would keep me going all day long.

4. What is your least favorite part of writing?

I second guess myself quite a bit. I fear that in my mind I answered all the questions, but it might not have been put down on the page.

5. If you could live anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?

I’m torn between living somewhere like the Virgin Islands where I could have a beach and beautiful weather all the time and somewhere in Northern Minnesota. I love being snowed in and having summers that don’t kill me with heat.

6. Are you an avid reader? When you do read someone else’s writing, what is your favorite genre?

I used to be, now my writing schedule and family time steals my free time I found for reading. I thank God for Audible, that allows me to enjoy books as I’m driving my boy around. Much like my writing I am very eclectic. I enjoy all genres, but I do enjoy a good mystery or paranormal probably the best.

7. Where do you get the ideas for your stories?

Life, it might be a song, an over heard conversation, a side comment, I tend to get ideas from everywhere. Sometimes it’s a challenge. I was approached recently to part of the Snowy Knights Anthology. A snowy rescue with a suspense twist, I can’t believe I pulled it off, but I actually wrote my first suspense.

8. Tell me about your ideal reader.

The most common thing I hear from my readers is “I don’t read, but I couldn’t put your book down.” I’m not sure why those who never read love my books, but they seem to.

9. If you were to choose one superpower, what would it be?

Precognition. I can’t stand know knowing.

10. Tell us about your next book & when is it being published?

  1. Karen Docter says:

Evening, Michel, and welcome back to Karen’s Killer Book Bench. It’s so much fun to learn things about you that I didn’t know before. I feel the same way about Pepsi as you do about Dr. Pepper. However, I had to give up soda so now I mainline coffee…as you know. Thanks for stopping by the share with us!

  2. Thanks for bringing us Michel, Karen. This sounds SO good and the interview was fun.

  3. bn100 says:

  4. Eileen Aberman-Wells says:

Hi Michel 🙂 You are my neighbor in that I live in St. Paul, MN. I really need to check out your books. So glad to meet another new to me author.

  5. Samantha McFarland says:

Okay, so I have seen you twice at RomCon and how on earth did we miss the Dr Pepper??? That’s like my crack too… Like Karen’s coffee – I am useless without my Dr Pepper. If (when, really) you come back this next year, I will have to bring you some DP – since it’s hard to find in that hotel. Mr Pibb is not the same…

AND…somehow I have missed out on your books. I will have to go digging now. Thank you for sharing about you and Thanks to Karen for bringing you around for us.
