ECHOES OF WINTER  by Dominique Goodall

Book Blurb

A wolf. A destiny. And only one war to stand in his way.

When Convel leaves his birth pack, he didn’t expect to end up in a war against cougars. As he gathers his strength about him as well as new pack-mates, he is also confronted by Humans – once believed to be mostly dead.

He isn’t alone in his endeavours. He doesn’t know it, but Singer and her rag-tag ‘pack’ are racing towards him for the climax in his life so far. With Sage, the elderly lynx, helping to guide him, will he be successful or will the traitor in his life get what they want?

ECHOES OF WINTER by Dominique Goodall

Shadow was gentle, her nose moving lightly as she inhaled and caught the tiny lingering scent of Human chemicals. She sneezed and backed away with a low frown, growling in confusion.   “Humans really do smell weird, my mother even noticed it.”

Shadow’s musing had Teira lifting her head sharply with a frown and a growl. “You’ve been around Humans before? I didn’t think many of them existed anymore!” Her voice was sharp in its shock, startling Shadow back into that submissive state that marked her apart, marked her as the Omega.

“Y-yes. We were brought up around one of the Human cities. We were raised to be comfortable to be near humans. We learnt to hunt among the broken and ruined buildings which they made their dens in. Deer, wild pigs, sheep and other animals like that tend to cluster there – I think there’s a reason for that, though.”

Shadow came out of herself as she spoke, her golden eyes distant as she sighed and growled softly in her throat. “I’m not a fan of it, though. I lost a brother and a sister to the Humans, and I can remember seeing them WEARING the skin of my sister!” She trembled, her teeth bared. “I’d never seen how awful Humans could be until then. To wear the skin of a hunter should be wrong, it’s barbaric!”

    Meet Dominque Goodall, Author….

Dominique Goodall is the author of the soon to be released Echoes of Winter, book one in the Seasons of the Wolf series and a self-confessed wolf addict. She has currently been published in two anthologies by Crushing Hearts and Black Butterfly Publishing and is currently working on getting herself better known by sending in manuscripts for as many different anthologies as she possibly can.

As much as she loves to admit it, she never will be able to count her wolf stuff- there’s nothing left for her to be truly able to collect without her own home.

Quite a fantasy going there. Of course, that is what humans do.
