The Lyon’s Den Connected World Book 1

Enter the world of the most notorious gambling den in London, where matches are made… unusually. Welcome to the world of THE LYON’S DEN: The Black Widow of Whitehall Connected World, where the underground of Regency London thrives… and loves.

From USA Today Bestselling author JADE LEE, a lush tale from the greatest, most notorious gambling den in London. Welcome to the world of THE LYON’S DEN: The Black Widow of Whitehall Connected World!

Intrigue makes for strange bedfellows…

Elliott, Lord Byrn, often found himself in strange places, but none is more bizarre than the infamous Lyon’s Den gaming house in a tony part of London. The gambling doesn’t surprise him, nor the salacious things rumored to happen in the upstairs rooms. What shocks him is a slip of a girl jeweler/fence who bargains with him over a missing brooch. He needs her to refashion the thing before anyone else realizes it is missing and she drives a hard bargain.

Harder than he can imagine…

Amber Gohar lives her days in the gray world of a gambling hell, but she dreams of escaping into the vibrant world of the ton. When the opportunity arises for her to spend just one night at a society ball, she grabs it with both hands, never expecting that she would also be taking hold of a man who set her heart on fire. But once she realizes what she’s done, she won’t let go. She can’t. Happily ever after doesn’t come easily, or for free, in the world of The Lyon’s Den.

How these two unlikely bedfellows discover their best bargain will set both the ton, and The Lyon’s Den, on fire.

One could always dream and Amber Gohar was a dreamer. She designed and created the most beautiful jewelry although her grandfather got the credit. A dream of living in a world where a woman could be know for her work and be proud of it!

In a fated meeting, Amber was summoned to Mrs Dove Lyons office and there she met Lord Byrn. He was desperate to find a piece of jewelry that was taken and sold, and he knew it had been at their shop. Unfortunately Amber had already dissembled the brooch and it was no longer the same. After some negotiations, Byrn was going to take her to see a picture of the brooch that she would recreate and she knew she could do it.

Then the adventure begins. Amber has often dreamed of balls and dancing, color everywhere and it ended up this was her chance! As she steps outside of her usual realm, what will happen?

I loved reading how these two came together because of their different classes. Byrn was charming and very interesting how he compiled information.

Such an enjoyable start to a new series and getting a feel about the Lyons Den, a gambling house with a strong hand who ran it and those around her, Mrs. Dove Lyons. I know we will find out more of her story as this series continues and cannot wait!

About Author Jade Lee…

JADE LEE has two passions (well, except for her family, but that’s a given). She loves dreaming up stories and playing racquetball, not always in that order. When her pro-racquetball career ended with a pair of very bad knees, she turned her attention to writing. An author of more than 30 romance novels, she’s decided that life can be full of joy without ever getting up from her chair.

A USA Today Bestseller, Jade has been scripting love stories since she first picked up a set of paper dolls. Ball gowns and rakish lords caught her attention early (thank you Georgette Heyer), and her fascination with the Regency began. She’s just embarked on a new Regency series, RAKES AND ROGUES. Her love of romance extends to the present day, too.

KATHY LYONS is Jade’s alter ego! She’s Jade’s lighter, contemporary half. Kathy writes sexy stories of love in today’s twisted world! She loves the faster pace of category books and that her humor can really let fly. She leaves the dark, tortured love stories to Jade.

If you’re wondering where Katherine Greyle comes in, she’s Jade’s first persona. Sweet, funny, and with a love of all things Regency, Katherine started publishing back in the 1900s. (She won’t say how long ago!) But never fear, the romantic soul is the same whether it’s Jade, Katherine, or Kathy!
