Character Interview

1. What is your name? Do you have a nickname?

My name is Queen Vernita of the Land of Quails.  My friends just call me the Queen.

2. Who is your best friend? What kinds of things do you do when you’re together?

I enjoy the company of all of my subjects.  This year I traveled to the Blue Ice Mountains and snorkeled in a dry suit in the freezing cold water, kayaked to see the seals, used a spyglass to watch the eagles, attended a crab fest, and had a picnic by the shoreline watching the whales. We were able to watch a bear fish in the stream for food and also ride horses through the temperate forest.

3. If you have a family, how do you get along with them? If you don’t, are there people in your life that you consider family? How do you get along with them?

I consider all of my subjects my family.  They are all so very important to me.  I travel to a new region in my Kingdom each year so that I can learn all about their area and their needs.  I visit with the schools in each Kingdom, and talk to the children about what I have learned in the different areas.  They are all so excited in hearing all about our adventures and they can’t wait to grow up and venture to other regions themselves.  It helps to bring everyone together, and make us all one big happy family.

8. What makes you laugh out loud?

There are so many things that make me laugh and be happy.  I truly love my adventures and spending time with the children of my Kingdom.  In January, Debbie and I had a grand time eating as many crabs as we could and making a huge pile.  It got so tall it all crumbled down and we couldn’t stop laughing. In February, Thomas and I sat and watched the sea otters float on their backs and twist and turn as they played in the ocean.  In July, Susanna and I hid behind some bushes and watched a big brown bear try to get honey out of a beehive without getting stung.  In October, Rose and I Kayaked to the shore and watched the seals frolic around in the shallow waters. Life is filled with so many grand adventures I can’t help but be happy and laugh out loud.

9. What’s your favorite food?

My favorite is tacos, but I am trying to expand my pallet and try new foods.  I went to Baja Quails and tried German food in a tiny restaurant, I also had a huge feast for Thanksgiving and picked apples learning how to make seven different recipes with the apples.

10.   What is your next adventure about?

I am currently working on my adventure to the Great Gulch on the train.  We rode a train and we were robbed by some scary bandits who were pretending to be mean, we saw a beautiful valley in the snow.  We then rode a train in our pajamas and Santa came to visit the children and while we sang Christmas Carols.  It was such a magnificent time!  I’m looking forward to finishing my grand adventure so I can share it with all of my subjects.

Don’t forget to read all nine of The Queen’s adventures as she journey’s to Gator Country, Baja Quails, Meets Sir Heathy Bean the Astronomer, learns about the Coastline of Quails, Islands of Enchantment, an Old-Fashioned Paddleboat and the Volcanic Islands.
