Kelly Palmer is living her dream, as sous chef and sommelier at a restaurant in California’s Napa Valley, until an email from a former classmate changes her plans and re-ignites feelings that still linger in her heart.

Tony Rockland has a culinary dream of his own back in Manhattan, but it’s about to vanish after an unexpected bump in the road, unless he can enlist her help fast!

Can these two chefs team up to create their own recipe for love, or will a secret tucked away for too long destroy their last chance at happiness?

You won’t want to miss this latest treat from the beloved author of Finding Christmas Love and Christmas Shoppe Magic!

A Note from A TASTE OF LOVE author, JULIETTE HILL…

My newest release, A Taste of Love, is set in Napa Valley and New York City, two meccas of culinary expertise and success. The story follows two recent cooking school graduates along their culinary journey as well as their journey of love.

I’ve been interested in cooking ever since I was a child. My father, born in the Deep South, had a passion for cooking classic southern dishes. He and my mother also worked great as a team in the kitchen. Good food, good cooking, and fine restaurants have always been a source of comfort, love and happiness for me. Naturally, this type of setting and atmosphere has worked its way into my writing! I’ve incorporated a meal of pasta in the actual story and inspired by my sweet romance, I created this pasta dish.

JULIETTE HILL’S SWEET & SPICY SAUSAGE PENNE

Olive oil
1 medium yellow or sweet onion, diced
1 medium green pepper, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 16-ounce package sweet Italian sausage (casings removed)
1 28-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 Tbsp. dried oregano or Italian seasoning
1 Tbsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1 tsp. sugar
4 to 5 fresh basil leaves
8-oz dried penne pasta
Parmesan cheese (grated)

Sauté diced onion, green pepper and minced garlic in two tablespoons of olive oil over medium high heat until vegetables are tender about 6 minutes. Add sausage (casings removed), breaking up large pieces. Brown sausage thoroughly. Add tomatoes, stirring to incorporate. Then add spices: salt, pepper, dried oregano, red pepper flakes, and sugar. Stir together. Bring to a gentle boil, then simmer while pasta is cooking (10-15 minutes). Taste. Adjust seasonings, if necessary. Stir occasionally.

Start pasta water. Once boiling, add pasta, dash olive oil and a pinch of salt. Cook as directed on package.

Wash and dry fresh basil. Gently tear leaves into sauce. (Reserve one leaf for garnish).

Once pasta is done, drain, pour into large serving bowl. Top with sauce and a little more fresh basil. Sprinkle on freshly grated parmesan cheese. Enjoy!

Serves four to six people. Great when served with a green or Caesar salad and bread or rolls.
