Keara Knight is the offspring of a human mother and demon father, caught between two worlds. The demonic powers within her grow, threatening to take over and cause her banishment to the hell dimension every demon dreads. Earth.

But seductive Caleb won’t allow her demon side to overrule and tip the balance between good and evil. He refuses to let Keara surrender to her dark side…unless it’s in bed.

Rena Marks…

Demonic Passions is the first book in a current series of three. I say current because I as the author I reserve the right to write a fourth novel, LOL.

It introduces the world of Luciefyiore, an alternate reality of vegetarian demons who believe Earth, with its pollution and overcrowding, is hell.  Keara Knight must learn to balance her demon and human sides. Her demonic ability is the power to cause men to fall in love with her, to the point of madness.

The second novel, Demonic Pleasures, explores a humorous side to sexy demoness Natalya, Keara’s arch enemy. Natalya’s demonic power is the ability to cause impotence.

And the third novel, Demonic Power, introduces Holly, a demoness raised on Earth. Her demonic power is highly revered, the ability to trigger lust. All three women are pursued by Enishka, the demon lord, who attempts to gain their powers to rule again. He long ago lost his throne, and his mind.

Demonic Passions is free from August 20th to the 22nd! Come lose yourself in my fantasy.

EXCERPT

She reached for her panties lying on the floor and felt the room spin.  She closed her eyes and the force of sudden wind dropped her to her knees.

When the whirlwind stopped, there was instant chatter all around her. Creatures, demons, all sorts of different species, conversing in any language and understanding all.

She knew where she was.

Hell.

She was on her hands and knees, stomach sucked in, breasts thrust out. Unashamed of her nakedness. She was beautiful and she knew it. As did the rest of the creatures that admired her, unlike the old days when they pretended humans were ugly. Shunned them, even the innocent children.

“Keara Knight,” whispered the throaty, broken voice as if it had forgotten how to speak.

“Enishka,” she responded.

A slap bounded across her face from the dark-robed demon nearest to her. Slime dripped from his arm as he lowered it and she realized his entire flesh was made from it, a Rot Demon. The worst creature imaginable. A demon who had dedicated his life to uncontrollable soul sucking.

“No one is allowed to call him by name,” the Rot Demon snapped. “Refer to him only as the demon lord. Master.”

She dropped her head to acquiesce.

“My lovely.” The demon lord whined. “So beautiful. You were to have been my child.”

She didn’t answer for there seemed to be nothing to say.

“How is your mother?”

“She is fine. Beautiful. Happy.”

“Still in love with your father?”

“Of course.”

Now it was the demon lord’s turn for silence and Keara knew what the problem was. He was jealous of her father’s power and infuriated that it obviously had no time restraints. That for over twenty-five years and a dimension later it was still in full force.

“You were raised amongst the humans,” he hissed. “I’d like you to spend time in my dimension amid the rest of your kind.”

Very untrue but she knew better than to call him a liar. He knew good and well that as Jenesi she’d spent her entire childhood trapped in his dimension without her parents. She chose her words carefully. “At this time, I’m not looking for change.”

“Your mother and father owe me.”

She shrugged. “I do not.”

Her eyes glowed as brightly as his. They stared at each other, both at a standstill. The swamp was hushed as the twin red lights burned bright enough to fill the darkness.

In response, hers burned blue to counter his. There was an undercurrent of excitement in the swamp, a nervous twitching energy that could be felt by everyone present. Never before had they seen anyone’s eyes glow as brightly as the master’s.

“After all I’ve done for you? Innocent offspring of two breeds? I allowed you to remain in Luciefyiore and attend the finest school. I kept you from being banished until my absence, in which it was out of my control.”

Allowed? Forced was more like it. Her banishment to Earth had been a blessing.

She shrugged, still refusing to speak, but losing the eye contact. And was surprised that her glow had not only rivaled his, but may have actually exceeded it. Apparently truths and lies were intermingled here anyway so arguing wasn’t going to get her far.

“That is your final choice?” he asked after long moments of waiting.

“It is.”

The swamp was still silent. Everyone waited for his response. Would he erupt and throw a temper tantrum? Would he beg? Did he have a trump card to play? Could he force her to his bidding?

“So be it. Do not ever ask for my help. I only help out my own,” he spat hatefully.

She didn’t bother to respond as the whirlwind sucked the air from her lungs and hurled her painfully back into to her own dimension.

読書About the author…Rena Marks.

Rena Marks is the only author who didn’t start writing at the tender age of…five. Instead, it was summer of 2006 when she decided to write.

An avid reader all her life, one day she was twiddling her thumbs while waiting for her favorite series’ releases when she decided, “I can do this.” She opened her laptop, clicked on Word, and typed away.  Surprisingly, it wasn’t easy.

Using the internet to learn all she could about writing, she noticed a comment on the blog of urban fantasy writer Kim Harrison.

“How does one begin writing books?”

“Join an organization like Romance Writers of America,” Harrison responded.

It was the best advice she’d ever received.

While Rena researched writer’s groups, she began to pen her first two novels, Forgotten Kisses (a vampire/werewolf genre she later discovered was paranormal) and Victoria’s Secret to a Happy Divorce (comedy).

She was surprised to find there were more genres in the romance category, as the answers from the other writers ranged from romantic suspense to erotic romance. Also surprising was to find most authors began writing before they could even speak, often penning novels while still in grade school.

With the attitude of better-late-than-never, she took off with a bang, completing four novels and publishing two of the four with Ellora’s Cave by January of 2007. She recently has had her book rights reverted and is ready to begin a new self-publishing career.

Her favorite pasttime is writing while gazing at the full moon for inspiration.
