Now this is a vacation! I love the water and Lake Chetek, Wisconsin fits the bill beautifully.

Getting entirely too much sun on one of our boat rides around the lakes but my hat wasn’t staying on in the speed boat. Oh, darn!

Look at that dashing boatman I married!

Our view from back door of house where we stayed for week. Can anyone say“Never leaving!”?

Got to love small town America, 4th of July parades!! Kids had wonderful time scrambling for candies and toys thrown along the parade route.

We had ring-side seats on the parade route.

Fighter planes representing the four armed services performed acrobatics over our head sat beginning of the hour-and-half parade. Really fun!

Love, love, LOVE all of the vintage cars rolling past.

Reminds me of movie, Doc Hollywood.

Where else but a small town can you see such fun “floats”?

Clowns ran behind the horses with their shovels.

Cooling off with Gramma after parade.

Checking out the swallow’s nests lining the bridges that connect the land between lakes. So many swallows, mosquitos and bugs are not a problem.

The Pokegama. You can take your boat across Lake Chetek from house to restaurant for dinner! Barely any need to get dressed!
