KILLER’S OBSESSION
BY ERIN OSBORNE

Blurb

Gwen Andrews

My life has been horrible since the very beginning. I’ve been isolated my entire life. No friends or anyone to help me escape my own personal hell. Not until my father does something horrible. Then, I get rescued. And find out my life isn’t what I ever thought it was before. I have a sister and we didn’t know about one another. Now, I have a chance to live my life the way I was meant to. Unfortunately, everyone treats me as if I’m younger than I really am. I still don’t have the independence I crave. It’s the one thing I want and the one thing I don’t know if I’ll ever get.

Tristan ‘Killer’ Long

I’m the Enforcer for the Phantom Bastards MC. It’s what I live for; my club brothers are my only family members. Until one girl captures my attention and I feel horrible for wanting someone younger than me. A girl who’s never had the chance to live her life or experience things normal females her age do. However, I’m selfish and it’s only a matter of time before Gwen is mine. I play for keeps and I don’t share. I’ll protect her, love her, and make sure she has whatever her heart desires.

Can Gwen give in to her longing for Killer? Will Killer be able to save her when it really counts?

Character Interview
Tristan “Killer” Long

• What is your name? Do you have a nickname?

Tristan. Nickname is Killer

• What is your hair color? Eye color?

I’ve got long dark hair with brown eyes. When I get mad, they turn almost a black.

• What kind of distinguishing facial features do you have?

Just a beard.

• Do you have a birthmark? Where is it? What about scars? How did you get them?

No birthmark. I have a few scars from gun shots and being stabbed. They’re on my side and arms.

• Who are your friends and family? Who do you surround youself with? Who are the people you’re closest to? Who do you wish you were closest to?

I surround myself with the other members of the Phantom Bastards MC. My best friend is no one. I don’t let anyone get close enough to me. The people I’m closest to are Slim, Fox, Kim, and Gwen.

• Where were you born? Where have you lived since then? Where do you call home?

I was born in Benton Falls and only left when I was in the service.

• Where do you go when you’re angry?

To the gym at the clubhouse so I can work out my anger. Or in the ring with one of the guys; usually Stryker.

• What is your biggest fear? Who have you told this to? Who would you never tell this to? Why?

My biggest fear is something happening to Gwen. No one knows this fact. I’ll never tell anyone about it other than maybe Gwen herself.

• Do you have a secret?

Yes

• What makes you laugh out loud?

Watching Gwen when she doesn’t think anyone is watching her and she does something cute

• When have you been in love? Had a broken heart?

I’ve never been in love because I’ve never seen a relationship that works. Other than the members of the club.

• What is in you refrigerator right now? On your bedroom floor? On your nightstand? In your garbage can?

In my refrigerator is beer, steak, salad fixings for Gwen, eggs, and bacon. On my bedroom floor are my dirty clothes from the night before. On my nightstand is my phone when I’m in for the night and a lamp. In my garbage can is an empty pack of cigarettes and discarded receipts.

• Look at your feet. Describe what you see there. Do you wear dress shoes, gym shoes, or none at all? Are you in socks that are ratty and full of holes? Or are you wearing a pair of blue and gold slippers knitted by your grandmother?

I wears boots. When I’m not wearing them, I’ve got bare feet. My socks can’t have any holes in them at all. I do not wear slippers; don’t want anything on my feet when I’m not in my boots.

• When you think of your childhood kitchen, what smell do you associate with it? Sauerkraut? Oatmeal cookies? Paint? Why is that smell so resonant for you?

There is no smell to my kitchen as a child. My parents didn’t cook and I pretty much raised myself. When I don’t smell things cooking in my kitchen, when I’m home, I remember all the days and nights I went hungry because drugs and alcohol were more important.

• You’re doing intense spring cleaning. What is easy for you to throw out? What is difficult for you to part with? Why?

I don’t keep anything unnecessary in my home. So, there really isn’t anything to throw away. One thing I can’t throw away are my books. They’re my way to relax and escape everything going on with the club and my life when I need it.

• It’s Saturday at noon. What are you doing? Give details. If you’re eating breakfast, what exactly do you eat? If you’re stretching out in your backyard to sun, what kind of blanket or towel do you lie on?

On a Saturday at noon, I would be working at the garage if they needed help. I help make sure everything is caught up, as do the rest of the members. If I’m on a run, I’m usually still sleeping because of the party we had the night before. Alone because no one stays in my bed. If I’m at home with Gwen, I’d be sitting on the couch with a book in my hands, something classic, while she’s working on her schoolwork at the opposite end of the couch. There wouldn’t be any talking or a TV on. Maybe Gwen has music on if she’s trying to concentrate.

• What is one strong memory that has stuck with you from childhood? Why is it so powerful and lasting?

There is a feeling of abandonment. My parents were never there for me, didn’t care what I did as long as I stayed out of their way. It’s so powerful for me because it feels like everyone leaves me. No one is willing to stay with me for the long haul. I don’t want that for the rest of my life.

• You’re getting ready for a night out. Where are you going? What do you wear? Who will you be with?

If I’m going out, I’ll either be going to the clubhouse or the strip club. I wear my standard uniform of jeans, boots, a dark tee shirt, and my boots. There will be a bandana tied around my head to keep my hair out of the way.

About Author Erin Osborne…

I currently live in Upstate New York with my two of my children. We’re adapting to the current situation going on and doing the best we can. That’s all any of us can do right now.

I love to read, and the genre is not important to me. I’ll read anything I can get my hands on if I have a second to get into a book. If I’m not reading or with my family, I am spending time writing the several different series at the moment.

One fact about me is that I’m the shyest person on Earth. However, I love meeting new people and hearing their story. It’s amazing what you can learn from someone new!!

So, where is everyone from?

The book looks interesting – possibly a book I would read. Sometimes the dark ones are hard to read. I love your blurb. I can chat away online, but in person, I stumble. I am pretty socially awkward…. so can relate some to your comment.
