Who knew a tattoo could change your destiny.
Kassandra Mayfield stood outside the house that had been in her family for decades. Her dead mother brought her back here, but it was the tattoo that appeared on her arm that forced her to stay.
Theo Webb drew her in from the moment she saw him. Everything about him was captivating, even his demonic presence. Kassandra always knew being a witch would become her new normal, but she never expected her destiny to take such a demonic turn.
Secrets are revealed, lives are lost, and her world was changing in ways her body and body weren’t ready for.

Interview
1. What appeals to you about the genre that you write?
I write paranormal and contemporary. With paranormal, it all appeals to me. I can create monsters and creatures. With contemporary I tend to do military themes and when I write my military books I learn quite a bit.
2. Are you a plotter or a pantser (one who writes “by the seat of your pants”)?
Plantser. I plot and I write by the seat of my pants. I know that’s a little weird. I come up with an idea, character names and a basic summary of the book. Then I write down important events I want to happen. The rest just happens as I write.
3. What is your favorite part of writing?
The coming up with a new idea and getting the cover art done. For me having a cover makes it real and gives me that push to go.
4. If you had to give up writing and do something else, what would you do instead?
Well, I’m a travel agent also, so I’d probably focus most of my time on that.
5. What’s your favorite meal of the day?
Breakfast.
6. Which are your favorite characters to write, the female characters or the male characters? Why?
It depends on the story. I tend to like writing female characters more because I can relate really well.
7. If you had a superpower, what would it be, and how would you use it?
I think running fast like the Flash or Superman would be right now what I would want. It would make traveling so much quicker for me!
8. Many writers dream of having the ideal location to write. If you could live anywhere in the world or live a particular lifestyle, where would you be answering these questions right now?
From Turks & Caicos. It’s my favorite place to be and there would be nothing better than to be sitting some place where I could hear the ocean and see the beautiful turquoise water as I write.
9. Do you have any rejection stories to share? Reviews that meant something special to you?
When I first started writing I was a part of one of those writing forums (back before Facebook groups became a popular thing). I posted a piece of my work in there and it got slaughtered. I was crushed because at the time, I wasn’t prepared for any rejections like that. I’ve since learned that’s a big part of writing.
As for reviews that mean something special. To me, they all are special. I do have to say though, I love when my editor tells me she loves my story. To me it means I did something right.
10. Tell us about your next book & when is it being published?
Demonic Destiny in the Possessed by Passion collection released March 16th. It’s about a woman (a witch) who wakes up to her mother dead and a tattoo on her body. Then things just get crazier as she goes in search of how and why she is marked with a tattoo.
I enjoyed reading this interview, and the books sound and look very intriguing. Have a Great week and stay safe.
Oh….I love that premise! A tatoo causing life changes…
Thanks, Karen and Michelle!
