1. What is your name? Do you have a nickname?

Andie Rose Kaczmarek. My last name is Polish for Innkeeper, which is appropriate since I own an inn. Sometimes my friends just call me Andie or Kaz.

2. Who is your best friend? What kinds of things do you do when you’re together?

My best friend has come to be my recovery sponsor, Sister Alice. What do we do together? Solve murders, of course. Isn’t that what all best friends do?

3. If you have a family, how do you get along with them? If you don’t, are there people in your life that you consider family? How do you get along with them?

I’m an only child and adore my dad, who is a famous thriller writer. My mother? Yikes. High maintenance!

4. Do you have a birthmark? Scars? Where are they? How did you get them?

Nope, just a dragonfly tattoo on my shoulder that I don’t even remember getting since it was in my “using” years.

5. When you’re angry, what do you do? Where do you go? How do you deal with your anger?

I don’t really get angry anymore since I’ve been in recovery. Irritated, yeah, but not angry.

6. If you had to make me a meal right now, without going to the store, what would you find in your refrigerator to feed us?

If you’re a dog, my specialty dog biscuits. Otherwise, I’d use whatever ingredients my chef has in the inn’s refrigerator.

7. What’s the one thing you’re afraid of losing?

The stellar reputation of the inn, which I inherited from Honey (my grandmother) and Grandpop. (The inn, not the reputation. I’m still working on redeeming my reputation.)

8. What makes you laugh out loud?

Sister Alice! Wait until you’ve met her, and she’ll have you laughing out loud too!

9. Has anyone broken your heart? Who was he?

I’d say my ex-boyfriend, Brad, but by the time we broke up in book one, it had been all but over for a year already.

10. What’s the one thing you want out of life that you don’t think you can have? Why can’t you have it?

Hmm…that’s a tough one, because I’m a life coach who encourages people they can be/have anything they set out for. But since I frequently don’t act upon the suggestions I give to clients, I guess we’ll have to wait and find out what the author of the series decides as she goes forward. That said, I usually tell her what I want to do, and I usually win.
