THE LETTER
Romantic Suspense
BY LUCIA CATHERINE
Blurb
Angela Rossi couldn’t have known how much her life would change when she met the handsome and charming Drew Ward. She couldn’t have known she’d fall instantly in love only to learn Drew held a secret that broke her heart just as she discovered she was pregnant.
Drew had never felt for anyone what he felt for Angela. He knew at once she was to be his for the rest of their lives. His heart was shattered by that one phone call on a cold winter day.
Terrified by a stalker, Angela is forced to move hundreds of miles away from home. She arrives at the ranch Drew’s mother owns only to learn he isn’t there.
Will Drew get there in time to save Angela, or will her stalker find her first?

Romantic Suspense

Interview
Before we get started talking about your writing, tell us a little about yourself, where you’re from, what you do for a living (if you’re not a full-time writer) what hobbies you have, etc. Whatever you’d like to share to introduce yourself.
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. I lived there until my mid-twenties when we moved to New Jersey. After raising our three boys, two left the nest, we moved during the pandemic to the beaches of lower Delaware with our oldest son who is on the autism spectrum.
I retired in October of 2021 and am now a full-time writer. I may be old enough to retire but my mind is that of a sassy teenager.
Scrapbooking and reading are my favorite hobbies. I can knock out a hundred or more books a year. Chocolate and coffee are my two addictions. I love animals and am owned by Daisy the Pug and Lily the Jug (Jack Russel/Pug mix). I volunteered for a Pug rescue for twenty-three years, still do.
I’m blessed with a wonderful hubby who fully supports my writing. I haven’t picked a lane yet regarding my favorite genre. My first three books are Romantic Suspense, my fourth is Romance and the latest is Romantic Suspense.
1. What appeals to you about the genre that you write?
If I’m writing romance, I enjoy the HEA and the angst.
2. Are you a plotter or a pantser (one who writes “by the seat of your pants”)?
100% a pantser.
3. What is your favorite part of writing?
Writing the story itself. I don’t mind editing, but I find marketing a huge challenge.
4. If you had to give up writing and do something else, what would you do instead?
I couldn’t give it up. But if I had to I’d read, I’m a voracious reader.
5. What’s your favorite meal of the day?
When my boys were home, it was dinner because we ate together.
6. Which are your favorite characters to write, the female characters or the male characters? Why?
Females are easier to write. They are created with little bits of people I admire. But I love writing a male character and often ask for my husband’s thoughts.
7. If you had a superpower, what would it be, and how would you use it?
I’d like to have magic hands to heal people.
8. Many writers dream of having the ideal location to write. If you could live anywhere in the world or live a particular lifestyle, where would you be answering these questions right now?
I’d love to live in the Caribbean or Hawaii. I enjoy being near the water or sitting under a palm tree to write.
9. Do you have any rejection stories to share? Reviews that meant something special to you?
With my first book, I had a three-star rating, from a friend’s daughter. No actual review. I would have loved to know what they thought to learn and grow. Reviews mean the world to any author, it validates hard work. All my reviews are special to me and the thought that goes into them.
10. Tell us about your next book & when is it being published?
I’m hoping for my next release to be in the early summer of 2023. I’m not sure which is next as I have at least a dozen unedited stories to choose from.
