TRY ME
Aloha Series Book Two
BY JILL BRASHEAR

Blurb

Hawaiian surfer Declan Bishop is living a lie.

He’s known for being the life of the party, but it’s all pretend. His high-profile girlfriends are fake, and his friends have deserted him. Despite reaching the pinnacle of his career, Declan has just about given up on life. He’s definitely given up on happiness.

And then he meets Pearl Sunn.

She surfs like a goddess, and her smile reminds him of the warm waters of home.

Pearl has big dreams of surpassing her mother’s legacy, but being a woman in the male-dominated sport of surfing isn’t easy. Pearl can’t afford to pass up any opportunity, so when she gets the chance to fake-date the most famous surfer in the world, she jumps at the chance. Tall blond and brooding isn’t Pearl’s type, so it should be easy to break up with Declan after a week of pretending.

There’s only one problem- nothing this fake has ever felt so real.

As the expiration date on their affair nears, the end is inevitable.

The truth could set them free…or it could ruin everything.

Escape to the Hawaiian Islands for a steamy love story that will have you booking your next trip to paradise. Fans of Try Easy will love Try Me, the second standalone installment in the Aloha Series.

  1. This storyline sounds so intriguing and I’d love to read it. I pretty much love all all things Hawaiian and collect things with pineapples. Thank you for doing this, especially now when everyone is shut in, scared and vulnerable.

  2. I love this type of book and I love the beach, so Hawaii and surfing is perfect. Thanks for sharing the blurb and the recipe.

  3. Love this trope , always leaves me hopeful….
What a unique take on pasta salad….sounds tasty.
Thanks, Karen and Jill……nice to meet you, Jill!

    1. Nice to meet you, too! I couldn’t resist writing a fake relationship romance. I always find them so satisfying!

  4. Good morning, Jill, and welcome to Karen’s Killer Fixin’s. I love Hawaii! Been to Oahu and really enjoyed exploring. My favorite island (haven’t been to more than two) is Maui. Much more laid back and restful than Oahu. Haven’t been in ages. It will be fun to “go” reading your book. Thanks for sharing it with us today. Thanks, too, for the great recipe. Can’t wait to try it. It sounds refreshing!

    1. Thanks for having me Karen! I’ve only been to Maui once, but I fell in love with the island while I was there.

    1. Uggh! I don’t know about pineapple in macaroni, but it does seem like something they might add in Hawaii!

  5. Aloha Jill,
Hawaii is my favorite state. I was fortunate to be able to visit there between 2010 and 2013 when my daughter was stationed there with the Navy. My oldest grandson was born on Oahu. I have been studying hula since the 80’s and went to the Merrie Monarch Festival in 2011. Sadly this year’s is canceled. Also in 2011 my hula teacher and I took a 7 day cruise of the Hawaiian islands. My favorite island is the Big Island. It seems less commercial than the other islands. I loved the scenery along the Road to Hana on Maui but my stomach didn’t like it as well. I think Kauai is absolutely gorgeous!

I love reading books set in any of the islands and I would love to read yours.

    1. Helen, I think you would love reading the books in my Aloha Series. I went to Hawaii on my honeymoon and was absolutely enchanted! Kauai is my favorite island.
I plan to write four more books in the series. All set on the islands. Stay tuned!!

  6. I love Hawaii and anything with the word Hawaiian in it including your recipe but maybe not Hawaiian Punch (too sweet). I would love to read your books too. Stay safe!

  7. Hi Jill. I liked what I read in the blurb. This sounds like a great read. I travel through books. That’s the only way I can go now. I’ve been to many places through books, but not Hawaii! I too was looking for the pineapple in the salad. This recipe sound good. Thank you for sharing!

Thank you Karen for having Jill on your blog. Yes, Jill is another new author you introduced to me! 🙂

  8. Thank you for sharing your book and recipe. The recipe looks yummy and the book sounds like my kind of read.

  9. I’m surprised there is no pineapple in the recipe, lol. I loved Kauai the best out of the islands we were fortunate enough to visit. Thanks for sharing and for the lovely giveaway.
