It’s time for Karen’s Killer Fixin’s! Over the years, I’ve filled two 4-inch, 3-ring binders with my own creations as well as recipes my family and friends were willing to share with me. I simply love to cook and want to share that love with my readers. So every Friday, I share one recipe I think you and your family might enjoy. It might be a main course recipe from my own kitchen or a guest author favorite. It could be a cookie or baked item. Candy. Salads. Whatever strikes the eye and fancy…which today is CHEESE-CRAB CANAPES from KAREN’S KITCHEN!!

Not sure what to make for the next holiday BYO potluck party? This might be just the recipe you need. I’d be pulling this one out for sure. It’s a party favorite and so easy to make, not to mention tasty. Of course, we all know me and seafood. I’ll have to make two batches so my husband doesn’t rebel because he didn’t get any. LOL

CHEESE-CRAB CANAPES
[From Karen’s Kitchen]
[Makes 2 dozen]

1 can (6-1/2 oz) crabmeat, flaked
Juice from 1/2 lemon
1/3 cup mayonnaise
chopped parsley sprigs
1 tsp. prepared mustard
6 slices white bread
1/8 tsp. salt

1/4 cup grated Parmesan
Dash cayenne
2 T. dry breadcrumbs

Mix all ingredients except last three. Trim crusts from bread. Toast bread and then spread with crab mixture. Mix Parmesan cheese and breadcrumbs. Sprinkle on top of crab. Cut each slice of bread into 4 triangles. Broil until lightly browned.
