Joe and his team looked everywhere. Six hours after Laura had been taken, his phone rang, showing her number. “Laura, where the hell are ye, are ye ok?” he asked in a panicked voice.
“Slow down, Charlie Brown. I’m fine. He let me go. You know, I f**king love the outdoors, but I suck ass at navigation, Rambo. I have no f**king clue where I am,” Laura retorted.
Joe had to chuckle just a little at her spitfire attitude, but man he was glad she was ok. “Ok, Raso says she can track ye phone so stay where ye are and don’t hang up. Yell at me some more if that helps. We’re coming to ye.”
“Oh, yay, you want me to stay where there are creepy crawly things and possibly slimy snakes looking at me as their next meal. I”ve seen the ‘Anaconda’, douche wookie. You can kiss my lily-white ass if you think I’m letting that f**king thing make a damn meal out of me. His ass can have you! F**king tell me to stand still and not move You’ve got to be kidding,” Laura said as he could hear her walking.
Joe was so happy to hear her going off, so he knew she was definitely okay. The geolocater showed they were far from where she had been located. He pulled the phone away from his ear and heard her voice in the distance. When he could actually see her, he hung up the phone taking off in a run. He sensed the others following behind him but didn’t wait. As soon as he reached her, Joe pulled Laura into his arms, holding her tight. Taking a deep breathe, he released her so her teammates could see for themselves that she was ok, but never stepped too far away or took his eyes off her.

To keep her sanity with the two, she started writing and was encouraged by a friend to publish her work and the rest is history. When she’s not working full time, traveling, spending time with friends or family, she’s writing the next book while she stays hidden away in a locked cave. I saved this recipe! Banana Pudding is a family favorite and I make it the “old-fashioned” way with cooked custard I learned from my mother. But this…this is way too easy not to try! Thanks for sharing!
