Excerpt
“Dix, untie me now!”
Dixie’s hands begin to tremble, and her dark thoughts spin around inside her mind as the anger of him calling her Dix wells up within her chest like a rabid dog, “I told you if you call me Dix again, I’d kill you, did you think I was joking?”
Bruce’s eyes go wide.
“Did YOU?!” Dixie screams!
“Yeh, Yes, I did!” He answers as fear rises into his throat.
“Yeh, yeh, yes! Spit it out, Bruce!” Dixie yells sarcastically.
Bruce lowers his head to collect his thoughts and devise a plan to get Dixie to let him go. “Dixie, who is Jimmy? Can I be Jimmy?”
Dixie’s face contorts to an evil he’s never seen before, and genuine fear has now set into Bruce.
“Do you want to be Jimmy?” Dixie asks calmly.
Bruce, thinking he’s going to outsmart her, answers, “Yes, I want to be Jimmy, baby.”
Dixie Lee’s face becomes red with the agitation of his answer. She rubs the back of her neck as she contemplates her next move. She abruptly walks past him into the building when she spots a piece of heavy steel about a foot and a half long; she bends down and grabs it off the floor, holding it tightly into her grasp, and returns to where Bruce is sitting in the chair trying to figure out how to get his hands untied.
Dixie has the steel down her side and walks up to Bruce bending into his face, “You really want to be Jimmy, baby?”
Bruce reluctantly nods his head yes.
“I can’t hear you!” Dixie taunts.
“Yes, Dix, I want to be Jimmy!” Bruce is unaware his reverse psychology isn’t working on Dixie.
Dixie bends in, kissing him on his cheek, and then whispers, “Jimmy was my husband, and I murdered him!”

About Ashby & Crespin:
If you’re looking for authors that will give you a suspenseful thriller with a dash of murder and a taste of horror, Ashby & Crespin Frost have crossed many boundaries with their writing to ensure their readers have an unforgettable reading experience. Full of twists and turns, steamy erotic situations, and a story so intense and wicked that it keeps its readers’ craving every word and coming back for more… then you will love Frost Thrillers!
They never use the same old murder weapons or plots you can read about all day long elsewhere. Their stories are more graphic and intense by using an unordinary killer, a weapon that is not practical, and a victim willing to try and save their own life by digging deep into their soul for strength.
Ashby & Crespin’s short stories, novellas & novels are jam-packed with a punch from beginning to end! If you’re interested in reading a raw-to-the-point murder suspense thriller/ horror with some erotic spice, then you have come to the right place!

Holy cow!
This one is going for be one heck of a ride!
Nice to meet the two of you.
BTW, the recipe is one of my old standbys… I add a touch of almond extract to bring the peach flavor up a notch.
Hello,
I do that too, and I add a couple teaspoons of real sweet cream butter and brown sugar before I put the crust on top and it’s extremely delicious! I hope you enjoy the recipe and our book would go wonderfully with a heated bowl of peach cobbler with can milk over the top, that’s how my grandpa used to eat it and it’s scrumptious! ~ Ashby
I do enjoy a suspenseful read, but not horror. Love the recipe you shared. Thank you.
The recipe is one of my all time favs! I remember when I was fifteen my hubs Crespin’s momma taught me to make it and after him and I married as teens it was my go to dessert and his favorite. Our book is a thriller, not horror, but it’s chilling and spine tingling and perfect for a Halloween read.
tasty recipe
