The Charleston Series Book 7
BY SUE LANGFORD
Blurb
When Liam first saw Kelly, they were kids. Small kids, or at least to him they were. She’d come on holiday with her school to take a tour of Dublin and when he spotted her, he barely managed to not trip over his feet. He’d been falling for her ever since. Every memory seeming more and more real. When he found out where she was, and managed to arrange for her to be his tour guide, he finally had another chance. One that would make her fall all over again or he’d die trying. Now, they were adults. She wasn’t a kid anymore and either was he. She’d been his first kiss, and wanted her to be his last.
When Kelly took the job working for a big company in Charleston, they’d added her in as the travel department for all of the new authors or new companies coming to Charleston for the first time. She’d made it all the way to president of her division when she was asked to do something she hadn’t in a while. A company in Dublin was being added to the company and she had to show the president around Charleston. A task that she didn’t exactly love, but they gave her a few weeks to get him settled and find him a place. She had no idea that it would mean being face to face with Liam again. That Liam. The one she’d dreamt of since she was a kid on a trip in a far off place.
When Liam shows and they’re face to face again, she shows him home, but will that be enough to remind her of her promise she’d made before she left? A temptation that can only come from heat and a Charleston Beach.

Excerpt
“Sorry about that. I’m Kelly…”
“Ryan,” he said finishing her sentence.
She nodded. “Have we met?”
He took a deep breath. “We can talk in the car.”
She looked up at him. “Excuse me?” He got his bag and they walked out to the waiting car. She slid in and he hopped in beside her. “Really though. Did you need anything before I show you the hotel?”
“Coffee, but I’ll grab it in the lobby,” he said.
Kelly looked at him. The driver headed off and Kelly tried to make small talk. “So, I thought we could show you around Charleston a little. Some of the tourist stops.”
“Hotel,” he said. They went the long way to the hotel, showed him the waterfront park, the bridge, city market and King street then pulled up the main drive of the hotel. She went inside, got the key and he requested a second key.
“Right this way,” Kelly said. He was too quiet. She could hear him huffing and puffing like he was about to yell at someone. “Is anything wrong,” Kelly asked.
“We need to talk,” he replied.
“I don’t think we have actually…”
The door to the elevator opened and he walked down the hallway as she opened his door for him. “After you,” Liam said.
She started getting a weird feeling. One she wasn’t sure was good.
“I’ll just wait…”
“Sit,” he said.
“Excuse me?” He walked into the massive bedroom, put his bag on the luggage rack and walked into the living room.
“I need to ask you something. You want to get mad, fine. You don’t want to help me find a place, sure. Just answer me one question.”
“What,” Kelly asked.
“Have you ever been to Dublin?”
Sue has been writing most of her life, publishing her first book 12 years ago. Now on her 47th novel, she’s embarked on a series based in one of her two favorite cities. Opting to do the books in pairs, she’s come up with a whole new idea. Not only are they small town romances, but the Charleston series has now increased the spice. Small town, billionaire romances with spice, real romances you get addicted to and characters you can’t quite ever get over.
Keep an eye on her socials for updates on new releases, new book ideas, contests and inspiration for her novels.

Good morning, Sue, and welcome to Karen’s Killer Fixin’s. I enjoyed your excerpt. I love second chance stories and it sounds like Kelly and Liam are going to get that. Can’t wait to see how they make that happen. Thanks for sharing your book with us today.
Thanks, too, for sharing your Shortbread recipe. It’s different than mine so I’m going to have to give it a try. Sounds yummy!

A variation from my shortbread recipe, interesting add of cornstarch.
Thanks, Sue and Karen
Both the book and the recipe sound great! Thanks for sharing!
I love those cookies. I’m one of the friends she makes them for. And, when Andy doesn’t abscond with them, I get a taste.
Looking forward to reading the story, and trying the recipe.
